Abhinav Asthana is the co-founder and CEO of Postman, the world’s leading API platform. Postman is used by over 35 million developers and 500,000 organizations worldwide to build, test, and collaborate on APIs across the entire development lifecycle.

Abhinav’s path to founding Postman started in 2012, when he was a developer facing frustrating gaps in tooling for working with APIs. To streamline his own workflow, he built a lightweight API testing tool and shared it on the Chrome Web Store. It quickly gained traction, signaling a clear demand for a better developer experience.

Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, Abhinav teamed up with Ankit Sobti and Abhijit Kane to launch Postman. Since 2014, he has led the company through rapid growth—transforming a side project into a globally adopted API collaboration platform.

Today, Postman helps teams design, test, document, and monitor APIs—all in one unified workspace. The platform reduces silos, improves quality, and accelerates delivery in a world increasingly defined by APIs.
